In this spring's vote on participatory budgeting, 7.1% of Helsinki residents entitled to vote aged 13 and above exercised their right. Voting activity among comprehensive school-aged children has been strongest in all three rounds of OmaStadi. The voting activity of young people increased even further in the spring vote.

41 962 Helsinki residents voted their favourite out of almost 700 proposals in OmaStadi. The voter turnout was 7,1. The OmaStadi voting phase of the third participatory budgeting round ended on Monday, 18 March. The city will implement the proposals that received the most votes.

The OmaStadi project has enabled robot clubs for schoolchildren, encouraging primary school-age children and young people to learn about robotics and programming. The aim of the clubs is to learn the important skills of the future by developing different types of robots. Where possible, robot clubs are organised in the afternoons for primary and secondary school children on the premises of schools in East Helsinki. The clubs are free of charge and open to pupils from your school. The content of the clubs is adapted according to the age of the participants and the equipment available.

In the OmaStadi vote in the autumn of 2021, new places to rest for the elderly and people with reduced mobility were hoped for. As a result of joint development, benches and lighting will be added to the outdoor recreation areas of Iso Huopalahti, Pikku Huopalahti, Tali and Munkinseutu.
