Participatory budgeting 2025-2026
Process
OmaStadi is Helsinki’s way of doing participatory budgeting.
In OmaStadi, residents can put forward their proposals to improve their neighborhood. Helsinki will spend 10 million euros to implement residents suggestions, because the best ideas come from us! You can submit suggestions on the OmaStadi website from 22 September to 5 October 2025. Voting will take place from 11 March to 29 March 2026. Every Helsinki resident has five votes.
Phases
Proposals
All city residents can prepare and submit proposals. Residents aged 13 or over can log in to the website and submit an OmaStadi proposal.
Voting
Residents aged 13 or over can vote. Each voter selects five proposals to support.
Co-creation
City residents and city employees plan how the proposals with the most votes will be implemented in practice.
Implementation
The city implements the proposals.
