Munkkiniemen uimarannalla on betonisia laattoja, joiden päällä voi kuivatella ja ottaa aurinkoa. Päällystetään nämä laatat puumateriaalilla, niin niitä on miellyttävämpi käyttää. Tämän lisäksi uimarannan ympäristöä voidaan ehostaa.
