The proposal combines two youth employment initiatives: hiring young people for muscle-based outdoor maintenance work and for removing the invasive Himalayan balsam. The work creates summer job opportunities, supports environmental care and is climate-friendly.

Proposal description

Ehdotuksessa on yhdistetty kaksi nuorten työllistämiseen liittyvää ehdotusta. The proposal combines two initiatives related to youth employment.

Proposal 1:
Create Carbon Neutral Youth Muscle Based Works to Improve Everything. Let's use the budget to hire youth who likes to workout, to use their body to mow loans, remove snow and leaves. But using only powers of their bodies, not the fuels.
This would reduce the carbon emission, less noise (don't you hate these engine sounds while you are enjoying summer / ruska?), re-utilizing existing vintage work tools, youth could train their body while earning money. Great for physical and mental health for those who work, and great for mental health of the people who live here.

Ehdotus 2:
Nuorille kesätöitä jättipalsamin kitkennässä. Tarjotaan nuorille esim. kahden viikon työjaksoja haitallisen vieraslajin torjunnassa pienryhmissä. Nuori tutustuu työelämään ja tienaa (kesäsetelillä tai muuten). Työtehtävänä on ohjatusti jättipalsamin kitkentä käsin vesistöjen, kuten Vantaanjoen ja Longinojan varrelta sekä valuma-alueen metsistä. Jättipalsamin kitkentä on helppoa ja suorastaan hauskaa puuhaa! Työn jäljen näkee heti, mikä motivoi. Samalla saa nauttia luonnosta ja raittiista ilmasta toisten nuorten mukavassa seurassa.
