Helsinki Civic Reporter – Citizen Engagement & Reporting Platform

Proposal

I propose a simple mobile and web platform where residents can report issues in their neighbourhoods (like broken lights, potholes, icy sidewalks), track progress, and see when they are fixed. The system routes reports directly to the right city department and shows status updates. It will make everyday problems solved faster, increase transparency, and strengthen trust between citizens and the city. The platform will be multilingual and accessible to all.
