Lukuisista pyynnöistä huolimatta talvimyrskyjen aiheuttamia vaurioita historiallisesti arvokkaalle uimalalle ei ole tehty. Miesten puolen auringonottoalue on siksi huomattavasti pienentynyt. Kyse ei ole mistään valtavasta jälleenrakennusurakasta, vaan talvimyrskyjen rikkomalle alueelle on valettava betonipohja, sekä puuttuvat sivu- ja takaseinä rakennettava. Ehdotus hyödyttää koko kaupungin asukkaita.
