Kaarelan alueen leikkipuistoihin kaivataan ohjattua toimintaa myös virka-ajan jälkeen ja viikonloppuisin. Leikkipuistot keräävät paljon kävijöitä iltaisin ja viikonloppuisin, jotka hyötyisivät ohjatusta toiminnasta. Ilta- ja viikonlopputoiminta voisi sisältää kotoutumista edistävää toimintaa maahanmuuttajaperheille ja puistoissa oleskeleville nuorille. Puistojen tilaisuudet, kuten iltamuskarit, askartelut jne tutustuttaisivat myös alueen työssäkäyviä / opiskelevia lapsiperheitä toisiinsa.
