Summary
Stormwater filters that collect any debris from water flowing to sewers are often used in Finland. The north-eastern area should have these filters in areas where they play a key role in keeping our marine areas clean.
Proposal description
Suuri osa mereen päätyvästä roskasta kulkeutuu hulevesiviemäröinnin kautta. Suomessa on kehitetty hulevesisuodattimia, jotka keräävät viemäreihin valuvasta vedestä roskat, tupakantumpit, jopa ravinteita ja öljyä. Näitä suodattimia on käytössä jo ympäri Suomea ja kokemukset ovat olleet positiivisia. Koillis-Helsingin alueelle tulee saada vastaavia hulevesisuodattimia. Eritoten alueille, joissa niillä on ratkaiseva merkitys merialueemme puhtaana pitämisen osalta.
