Summary
Updating and expanding the book collections of school libraries. The school libraries currently have very limited resources. Books deepen and enrich pupils’ conversations and thinking.
Proposal description
Koulujen kirjastoilla on erityinen rooli: ne tukevat opetusta ja rikastuttavat oppilaiden koulupäivää. Tähän eivät "tavalliset" kirjastot riitä. Nykyisellään koulujen kirjastojen resurssit ovat hyvin rajalliset ja esim. Kalasataman koulu pyytää vanhempainyhdistyksen rahoitusta kirjahankintoihin. Ehdotamme panostusta koulukirjastojen kirjakokoelmien päivittämiseen ja laajentamiseen, erityisenä kohteena lukupiirikirjat, jotka syventävät ja rikastavat oppilaiden keskusteluja ja ajattelua.
