Summary
An experiment where the Fleminginkatu park section could be closed for car traffic in the summer, combining the Karhupuisto and Matti Heleniuksen puisto parks into one, uninterrupted area. Temporary plantations and seating could be added. The residents are heard during the planning process.
Proposal description
Karhupuisto ja Matti Heleniuksen puisto muodostavat Kallion vihreän sydämen, mutta Fleminginkadun liikenne alueen kahtia. Voisiko alue tulevaisuudessa olla yksi eheä ja viihtyisä keidas? Ehdotan kokeilua, jossa kesän ajaksi suljetaan Flemarin puisto-osuus autoliikenteeltä ja yhdistetään puistot yhtenäiseksi puistoalueeksi. Autoilta vapautuvalle asfaltille tuodaan mm. tilapäisiä istutuksia, pelejä, istumapaikkoja ja pöytiä. Suunnittelussa kuullaan asukkaiden toiveita ja ideoita.
