Porolahden koirapuiston valaistuksen parantaminen lisäisi turvallisuutta ja viihtyisyyttä puiston käyttäjille. Porolahden koirapuisto on vilkkaassa käytössä, koiria ja ihmisiä on nauttimassa lajien yhteisestä sosiaalisesta yhdessä olosta pitkin päiviä ja iltoja runsaasti. Vuoden pimeinä kausina puisto on pimeä ja on vaikea nähdä koiria ja mitä he tekevät tai miten reagoivat toisiinsa. Valaistuksen parantaminen lisäisi näkyvyyttä ja toisi mahdollisuuden ihmisille reagoida ja huolehtia koiristaan.
