A night café is a safe, intoxicant-free and communal place for young people in the City of Helsinki’s existing premises. It could be open at weekend nights, e.g. 22.00–3.00. The objective is to prevent social exclusion.
Proposal description
Herttoniemen amikset voittivat Euroopan nuorten toimintavuoden 2022 ideointikilpailun. Idea on nuorten 18-29 vuotiaiden päihteetön Yökahvila. Yökahvila on turvallinen päihteetön paikkaHelsingin kaupungin "jo olemassaoleviin tiloihin" nuorille, viikonloppuöiksi esim 22 -03. Yökahvila on turvallinen ja yhteisöllinen tila kaikille nuorille. Nuoret tarvitsevat päihteettömän "hengailupaikan", jossa he voivat tulla yhteen ja pysyä poissa kaduilta. Tavoite on yhdistää nuoria ja ehkäistä syrjäytymistä.
