Summary
Most of the gyms, swimming halls and sports halls are inaccessible to Muslim women, in particular. Activities targeted at Muslim women could be offered in connection to the Itäkeskus swimming hall.
Proposal description
Suurin osa Itä-Helsingissä tarjolla olevista kuntosaleista, uimahalleista sekä liikuntahalleista eivät ole saavutettavia ajatellen erityisesti alueella asuvia musliminaisia. Ainoastaan Jakomäen uimahallissa on tällä hetkellä naisten oma uimavuoro. Mikäli uuden liikuntakeskuksen rakentaminen ei onnistu, olisi tärkeä parantaa nykyisten liikuntapalvelujen saavutettavuutta ottaen huomioon kulttuuriset normit. Itäkeskuksen uimahallin yhteyteen voisi luoda musliminaisille suunnattua liikuntatoimintaa.
