Recommendations for increasing the number of community gardens in Helsinki:

1. A certain percentage of the area of each allotment garden can be converted into a community gardening area.
2. The region of the city where there are no existing gardening areas or have few gardening spaces can utilize spaces in parks, hospitals, and schools.
3. All existing or new community garden locations should be made available on city web pages as this can help people looking for a new place for gardening.
