Ehdotan, että Kalasataman alueelle tehtäisiin yhteisölaituri, joka voitaisiin toteuttaa esimerkiksi putkiponttoonilaiturina. Laiturista tulisi tehdä riittävän tilava, turvallinen ja esteetön, jotta se olisi mahdollisimman monen helsinkiläisen käytettävissä. Sopivin paikka yhteisölaiturille voisi olla esimerkiksi Aallonhalkoja tai Sörnäistenlaituri.
Laiturin yhteydessä voitaisiin myös kunnioittaa Kalasataman historiaa vanhana virkistys-, kalastus- ja satamapaikkana. Laiturilla voisi olla infotaulu karttoineen ja kuvineen, josta selviäisi alueen menneisyyttä ja vaikka "päällekkäisten" karttojen muodossa Sompasaari-Nihdin alueen muutos verrattuna vanhoihin "luonnonmukaisiin" saariin.
