Planning the restoration of the Broända stream

Preparation of a plan for the restoration of the Broända stream. The plan will take into account the restoration of the stream area, a clean-up of the stream, deepening the shallowest sections and digging a pond in a nature conservation area. The preparation of a cost estimate for the stream’s restoration requires separate planning, which will come out of the OmaStadi budget. The plan has been refined together with the author of the plan. In order to safeguard the natural values of the area, the content of the plan has been changed. In order to improve the recreational use of the stream environment, a park corridor renovation project is proposed. On the south side of Kallvikintie, the park corridor crossing Broändanpuro will be restored, the level of the corridor will be raised and the capacity of the stream culvert will be increased. The aim of the restoration is to prevent the stream from rising onto the park corridor.
