Project
Lawns that are not in active use will be replaced with flower fields. Fruit trees, berry bushes and mushroom farms will be planted where appropriate, using a farming method that binds carbon. Locals will be provided with the opportunity to engage in urban farming and communal activities. The plan has been refined together with the authors of the plan. The project ended up turning lawns into flower fields on a scale encompassing the entirety of Helsinki. The project is extensive and will continue in 2021.
