Project

The residents of the major district of Southern Helsinki will be encouraged to increase the comfort of their immediate environment with flowerbeds and green plantings. More planter boxes, flowerpots, bushes and trees. Planting events, campaign days, forming a volunteer network to keep everything tidy, etc. The City will provide soil, plants, flowers and funding for the project’s coordination. A coordinator is required for coordinating the project in the different districts together with local associations, such as residents’ associations and neighbourhood associations.  The plan has been refined together with the residents. The diverse content has been simplified so that the main idea of the project can be realised within the cost estimate. There will be plenty of new summer flower plantings in Kruununhaka‎‎, and benches will be restored. Due to the coronavirus situation, no planting events will take place, but the festivities can hopefully be held in early autumn!
