Summary
I propose planting trees dedicated to each city district. Local residents would be heard when selecting the tree species in order to make the tree match the spirit of the district as well as possible.
Proposal description
Helsingissä on 60 kaupunginosaa. Ehdotan, että jokaiseen kaupunginosaan istutetaan oma nimikkopuu. Istutetun puulajin tulisi sopia mahdollisimman hyvin kyseisen kaupunginosan henkeen. Kaupunki teettäisi kyselyn eri kaupunginosien asukkaille, mikä puulaji sopisi heidän mielestään parhaiten oman kaupunginosan nimikkopuuksi,sekä mihin toivoisivat puun istutettavan. Viime kädessä kuitenkin lajin valinta, sekä istutuspaikka olisivat kaupungilla. Puihin tulisi merkintä, että ne ovat kaupunginosapuita.
