- +This project aims to conduct an experiment that examines whether or not and to which extent discrimination of immigrants occur in accessing the private rental housing market in the Helsinki region. It also examines rights of individual landlords, risks and concerns they may face in renting their houses to potential renters. The experiment would be conducted in the form of a standardized apartment inquiries to private landlords in different online platforms.

Objectives
- +Proving the existence of discrimination is an often difficult task. The main objective of this project would be providing scientific research for the Helsinki City on whether or not and to which extent discrimination of immigrants occur in accessing the private rental housing market in the Helsinki region. If the research proves that there is discrimination, it would help the city to plan different programs and projects equal towards creating equal opportunities for both individual landlords and immigrant renters.
