Katri Valan puisto on monille Kallion ja Sörnäisten alueen asukkaalle tärkeä kohtauspaikka erityisesti kesäaikana. Puiston käytettävyyttä haittaa kuitenkin merkittävästi WC:n puuttuminen, joka johtaa osaltaan myös puiston ja lähialueen siisteysongelman ihmisten tehdessä tarpeensa puistoon tai lähitalojen porttikonkeihin. WC-tiloihin voisi myös kiinnittää säiliön piikeille, jotta tila olisi turvallinen kaikille käyttää.
