Tech Training for All

We believe that more people should have access to computer, tech and digital skills trainings at varying levels from beginning computer literacy to professional programming.
The current private coding & IT courses are too selective and limited in number to meet the rising demand of the job market and the 53,000 tech experts including 8,000 developers needed by 2021.
The open trainings would lower the barrier for those that otherwise would not meet prerequisite requirements or otherwise feel excluded from the tech scene, for example stay-at-home parents, marginalized groups like multicultural youth and unemployed immigrants, etc. These courses could help bridge the gap to capitalize on the capabilities and knowledge of these groups while activating existing skills.
The project is self-sustaining because the courses would be based on peer groups and self-learning in groups with pro-bono trainers which would like to give back to the community and develop their own teaching experience.
