In Lauttasaari there is no indoor place for people to gather in a spontaneous or planned way: to come with a child after school time before continuing to a hobby club (to warm the food, to do home work), to have a small talk with other community members, to have a book club, to do handicrafts together, to network, to play ping pong (for some unknown reasons we do not have a ping pong table anymore on the island), etc.
A conveniently located venue (a walking distance to the metro and bus stops) would bring together Lauttasaari residents of different ages, meet their needs in communication and catching their breath on their way.
The financing is needed for renting furnishing, equipping and maintaining the place.
