Proposal
On a day-to-day basis, we, citizens find ourselves waiting in queues at various organisations (e.g. Verotalo, Poliisitalo, Kela or Health care) to receive customer service from them. In most of the cases, we are waiting there without a choice; desperately wishing how we could have utilised this time to do something fruitful.
Now, imagine a situation where a Smart Queuing System like Qtip.Me (jonotus.fi) would allow people to secure their place in a queue remotely, using their mobile phone or laptop; send regular notifications over SMS or PUSH and help the citizens reach the service desk few minutes before its their turn to be served. This way, they have the freedom to use their waiting time however they want to.
The organisations will be able to predict their customer flow, cut down on costs and be more productive as a unit.
