Helsinki - zero loneliness city / Helsinki - kaupunki ilman yksinäisyyttä

Ehdotus

The city and society cannot prosper if people are experiencing social and physical isolation when it is not their own choice. Loneliness can lead to serious social, mental and health issues, and it is a growing problem regardless of age, gender or situation in life. This year in the UK had been appointed the world's first loneliness minister whose task is to create nation-wide strategy to combat loneliness and find real working solutions.

There are existing some separate activities and ideas, even here on the OmaStadi website, but it might be not wide enough. It would be a great initiative if Helsinki city could organize a coordination center for the research, planning, organizing and coordinating city-wide inclusive social projects against loneliness that involves all the society, promotes cooperation, equality, strengthens community, and can be a role model for all other cities in Finland and even other countries.
