Co-creation in workshops
The co-creation phase starts in local workshops, i.e. OmaStadi Raksa events. The workshops are used to develop proposals together with other residents of Helsinki who have submitted their ideas. The workshops offer assistance in creating the proposals. You can also take part in the workshops remotely.
The first co-creation workshops are local. These are arranged around Helsinki, and all the City’s residents who are interested in co-creation are welcome. All those residents who submitted ideas that met the criteria are invited to join the workshops. The workshops offer assistance and support in creating the proposals.
The aim is to kick off the co-creation phase, i.e. proposal development through collaboration between the City’s residents. The workshops help co-creators develop proposals that will benefit as many residents as possible and will bring them joy.
The local workshops are followed by theme workshops, where the proposals are refined together with the City’s experts. In these workshops, the proposals are processed by category, which include themes such as sports and outdoor recreation, culture, and health and well-being. In the theme workshops, the City’s experts provide information about their respective sectors and the operational costs to help with proposal development, and assist in finalising the proposals.
The aim is to work together and create proposals that would benefit as many residents as possible if implemented. The theme workshops can also create new and innovative operations by forming combinations of several ideas. The purpose of working together is to ensure that all proposals meet the OmaStadi criteria and are as refined as possible so that they can move on to the final cost assessment and the voting phase that comes after.
